SeaBourne Outboards began with a love for the ocean, a knack for fixing things, and a genuine passion for life in the north.

Founder Cameron Bourne started his career in Broome, Western Australia, training under Moby Dick Marine — where he developed a solid foundation in quality workmanship and marine service.

After travelling around Australia with his partner Megan (now wife), the pair settled in Cooktown in 2016, drawn by its strong sense of community and laid-back FNQ lifestyle.

Starting out as a mobile marine service, Cameron quickly built a reputation for reliable workmanship, community spirit, and honest customer care.

By 2019, he secured a workshop lease and proudly became an authorised Honda Marine dealer. As demand grew, SeaBourne Outboards expanded into the neighbouring shed and now operates with a dedicated local team who share Cameron’s commitment to quality and service.

Today, SeaBourne Outboards is a trusted name across the Cape York Peninsula, supporting local fishermen, tourism operators, and recreational boaters. In a region where reliability is everything, Cameron and his team are dedicated to keeping every vessel safe and seaworthy.

Now raising two kids (and two dogs) in Cooktown, Cameron continues to run the business with the same values he started with: honesty, quality, and genuine local care.
